In the eyes of Slow Food, sustainable means ecologically sound, economically viable, socially equitable, and culturally acceptable. Sustainability is a complex concept, one which is only properly expressed when it takes into account the voices and experiences of a broad and inclusive network.
Roberto Burdese is honorary chairman and Head of International Communication at Slow Food Italia, and member of the Slow Food Internazionale Executive Committee.
BoD member at Agenzia di Pollenzo SpA and Associazione Amici dell’Università degli Studi di Scienze Gastronomiche.
Roberto also founded the Italian Forum of the Movements for the Land and the Landscape, gathering more than 900 national associations and local committees working to stop extreme farming land use in Italy.
He contributed to the creation and the development of some of the most successful Slow Food projects, and actively participated to the development of the Slow Food communities’ network.
